Social and Personal Development

Bradóg Youth Project is a community-based project which supports young people in the Dublin 7 and 1 area. Our work with young people is on a voluntary participation basis and the work undertaken with young people is focused around their social and personal development. We do this work through non-formal education, creative methodologies of learning and engaging activities.

Our work with young people aims to allow young people to acknowledge and reach their full potential, allow young people to become drivers of change in their communities all while fostering each individual’s development, growth, and wellbeing.

Becoming Drivers of Change

This work is done through:

  • Large group work
  • Small group work
  • One to One needs-based-work
  • Targeted group work
  • Collaborative pieces of work with other community agencies, organisations, and projects
  • Outreach and Street work
  • Liaison with relevant agencies to the young person’s needs

Bradóg Youth Project

Youth Workers develop and foster positive relationships with young people on one to one and group basis, to understand the individual or group needs and strengths.

In partnership with the young people, we create and carry out engaging programmes and activities of non-formal learning to allow for the young people’s induvial personal and social development.

It is at the core of our work that we ensure we create a safe space for young people to learn and explore and therefore establish an environment in which a young person can make informed decisions. The project offers young participants opportunities for education, employment, and training as well as a safe social outlet, sport, art, outings, and other activities.
